The Dutch Broad Horizon continues to expand and acquire up-and-coming European IT companies. As such, Broad Horizon has acquired the Dutch consultancy house Iquality, which specializes in designing, developing and operating software, apps and websites.
Broad Horizon and Delegate jointly facilitated the acquisition of Iquality. Iquality will continue as an independent company and will enter a close partnership with the other companies in Broad Horizon, including Danish Delegate and will report organizationally to Delegate’s CEO Jakob Schou and CFO Helle Sasser.
Broad Horizon now counts more than 1,100 employees, and 400 of those are located in the Nordic region and divided between Danish Delegate and Projectum and Finnish Sulava.
The acquisition of Iquality is the next logical step as part of the development both Delegate and Broad Horizon have undergone in recent years, says CEO of Delegate, Jakob Schou:
“We have a clear ambition to continue our growth journey, through organic growth and through the acquisition of other companies with which we share values, such as Iquality which, like Delegate and the rest of Broad Horizon, is characterized by a strong focus on the professional and personal development of the employees and their well-being,” says Jakob Schou. Jakob adds: ”With more companies in the family, we can create an even stronger collaboration and ensure our costumers continues development and success.”
At the same time, Delegate has taken the next step on its growth journey by opening an independent office in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam. Delegate also has offices in Virum, Aarhus and Aalborg, while Broad Horizon and several of its companies already have headquarters in and around Amsterdam.
”The central location in the middle of Europe gives us a new base from where we can operate and grow. We now have better conditions expanding our business in, for example, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. At the same time, we get a much larger area from which to recruit qualified colleagues from. Although the physical office is less important today than ever before, the location of the workplace is still an important parameter in the competition to attract and retain the brightest talents,” says Jakob Schou.
