Lau Johansson, Consultant at Delegate, has just received the title of Databricks Partner Champion. With the title, he is now part of an exclusive group of professionals recognised for their technological prowess, contribution to projects, and commitment to the Databricks community.

He has just received the title of Databricks Partner Champion and has thus become part of an exclusive group of professional lighthouses.
His technical competencies have been put into play in Delegate's solutions for Clever and ISS, which are examples of customers whom Delegate has helped implement Databricks Lakehouse Platforms for. Lau's involvement in Databricks extends beyond the technical work, where Lau is co-founder and organiser of the Danish Databricks User Group Community.

”By invitation only”
To become a Databricks Partner Champion, you must enroll in the Databricks Partner Programme - an exclusive "by invitation only" program. As well as cementing a close partnership, this involves a series of certifications and a training program to use and build Lakehouse platforms for customers. Finally, there is an oral defense, a so-called panel review.
"For me, the most important thing is the recognition of my efforts and my professional development in this training program. I have a broad professional interest, and I really like to be challenged in my professionalism, and this is also a big part of my motivation for participating in the Databricks program," Lau explains.
In addition to the recognition, there are concrete benefits to being named a Champion. Among other things, Lau gets access to a dedicated Databricks Champion Community, is updated with the latest technology, and gets occasional access to confidential roadmaps. There is also the opportunity to attend the annual Databricks Summit and be assigned a Databricks mentor.
More collaboration between Delegate and Databricks
Lau also sees great potential in the collaboration between Delegate and Databricks that goes beyond his professional and personal development. He is working to strengthen the collaboration between the two companies with the expectation that the close relationship and collaboration on projects can bring even more value to customers.
"As part of Databrick's Champion Community, I get updated on the latest technology to help support our customers in the best possible way. I'm very motivated by the fact that we are up to date with the latest technology to use Databrick's recommended features or standardised technology rather than building things from scratch or creating unnecessary custom-made functionalities. So I see great potential in even closer cooperation between Delegate and Databricks."
