As Team Lead and Managing Consultant, Søren balances between leading people and running consulting projects. Leading Delegate's Modern Workplace department in Aarhus, he actively works to ensure employee well-being, manage budgets and create a workplace that reflects Delegate's values.
“I love making sure people are happy and well,” he says about his approach to leadership. For Søren, it's not just about managing tasks and resources but very much about creating a work environment where employees thrive and develop.
For Søren, technology is not a goal but a means to create value. His consulting work is more about understanding customer needs than implementing specific solutions.
“Technology is fun, but it's not the most important thing. We must first find the essence of the challenge before we choose a technological solution,” he explains. With a background in psychoanalysis and educational science, he has a unique ability to identify the informal power structures and cultures that characterize organizations - a skill he actively brings into play in his work.
Søren is motivated by those moments when a complex problem falls into place, and both customers and colleagues see the real value in a solution.
“That moment when customers realize it - that's worth all the effort,” he says.
For him, openness and participation are key elements of collaboration. He flourishes in dialogues and communities where individuals unite around a shared ambition. His candid and honest communication is a consistent thread in his approach to both leadership and collaboration:
"I hate the beating around the bush. I like it best when you say things straight," he says.
Although work takes up much of his time, Søren values work-life balance. The flexibility at Delegate allows him to be present as both leader and father.
In his spare time, he enjoys padel and running to stay fit and energized. He is also actively involved in his children's activities and the local community. “I'm actually considering coaching my son's soccer team,” he says with a smile.
